About:
A dedicated follower of the American underground music scene, singer/songwriter Leisure McCorkle brings a healthy knowledge of the classic alternative scene to his brand of energetic hard rock. Starting in the mid-90's, he recorded the lo fi Nappy Superstar on an 8-track in 1997. Put together with very little money, the recording still commanded a good response from music critics and helped his live shows develop some longtime fans. Following with American Ghetto Pop Machine, McCorkle expanded on his work with better writing and better production, even scoring a licensing deal with MTV that resulted in several songs being included in their reality shows. By 2002, Jet Set Baby became the hardest rocking album in his canon as he continued to explore the boundaries of poppy alternative rock with a full backing band. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
