Hi-Five
About:
Even if you weren’t old enough to play the “Kissing Game,” chances are you’ve heard Hi-Five’s single of the same name on any number of urban, R&B stations around the world. The Kissing Game and many other Hi-Five hits are still in rotation today years later. Hi-Five debuted on Jive in 1990 with their self-titled hit album, which spawned singles like “Just Can’t Handle It”, “Unconditional Love” and their biggest single, “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)” which hit #1 on both the pop and R&B charts. Original Waco, TX members Marcus Sanders and Shannon Gill are still holding down the original Texas roots, with Bronx New York’s Treston Irby featuring the group on his Bronx Most Wanted record label. New members Faruq Evans and Billy Covington complete the quintet and are featured prominently on the new music.
