Eza, born Ellery Bonham, first made waves in 2014 with her break-through song High & Low which gained further recognition after a placement on the HBO series, Power. Eza writes and co-produces her music, adding another dimension of herself alongside her organic lyrics and intricate melodies. Due to her Synesthesia, a neurological phenomenon which allows her to see music in color, Eza is able to incorporate a whirlwind of electronic, alt R&B and pop inspirations to set the stage for her hypnotizing hooks and heartbreaking vulnerability.
In 2018, the Rhode Island-native signed her first label deal with Same Plate, a joint-venture with Sony Music Entertainment. In her upcoming releases, she has collaborations with noteworthy producers such as
Illmind (
J. Cole,
Bryson Tiller,
Khalid, The Carters) Swagg (
H.E.R. ,
Kehlani ) and Corey Chorus (
Rihanna,
Ariana Grande,
Kim Viera)
Eza’s handprint on her art creates a unique atmosphere where listeners feel understood and connected to the voice behind the music. Her next project is set to release in 2020.
