After being named one of LA Times’ “Faces to Watch” and being featured in Bruce Weber’s new “Rising Star” campaign in the same year, Diego’s trajectory shows no sign of slowing down.
Diego was most recently seen in the Sony film “Monster Hunter” starring alongside Mila Jovovich and TI. Prior to that he stared in “Terminator: Dark Fate”.
Diego will reprise his role as Luis Miguel in the hit Netflix series "
Luis Miguel - La Serie" which he not only stars in but executive produces as well. The show is one of the most successful international shows for Netflix and will return for Season 2 in April 18th.
Diego was part of “Scream Queens,” co-starring Emma Roberts, as well as Imagine Entertainment’s Pele, opposite Vincent D’Onofrio and Rodrigo Santoro, where he played Jose Altafini. Diego has been seen in Voltage Pictures’ thriller, Eden and Lionsgate’s Summer Camp.
Boneta starred in the CBS miniseries “The Dovekeepers,” produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.
Diego got his start on Spanish-language television series’, eventually working his way to American television with roles on “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Pretty Little Liars” and the made for TV movie, “Mean Girls 2.” Boneta truly broke through in 2012’s Rock of Ages, New Line’s musical adaptation, opposite Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Paul Giamatti among others, earning him both, Cinemacon’s “Rising Star of the Year” award, and an Alma Award for best actor.
