His 2015 release Rated-R went on to take the #2 spot on National Independent Radio while, at the same time, posted at #101 on the National Top 200. Today, Vex sits atop a modest collection of successful independent releases that have been widely accepted by fans, radio, music bloggers online and television stations, but you wouldn’t be able to tell.
In 2018, Vex parted ways with his former representative firm, stripped all of his music from streaming platforms and set his videos to hidden allowing only the predated blog posts to showcase his art. Not long after, he put out Something New and the successive song Cool, which went on to play across the country and land more than 200k streams collectively. Now he's back with 'Moments'.
